Amazing service, with friendly staff and great food. Really enjoy going there with the family
Based on a large barn with large extensions. Great food and large portions. Helpful staff. Had a great traditional Christmas lunch.
Went here with my young grandchildren primarily because it has an indoor play area. It's part of the Hungry Horse chain and caters very well for kids. There were lots of other families there and all seemed to be having a good time. The main bar is in the original part of the building and has lovely exposed beams. It's far enough away from the family area that people in the bar are not disturbed. The food was the usual Hungry Horse fare, but was fresh and tasty. One big surprise was just how good the beer was. I certainly wasn't expecting great cask ale. A real find for beer lovers with grandkids.
The food was ok. One of our party had a steak that would have made good shoe leather. The prawn cocktails had a few prawns in sauce on a lot of lettuce and tomato.Other than that, the food was passable at best. The staff were helpful and friendly though. A nice atmosphere. Shame about the lackluster food.
We had the meal for two @ 9.45. It was poor - and at best - worth 2. My wife had a Lat from the machine and it was good. Thank goodness we won't be passing there again - awful.
